Question by Liza Jane: How long after a miscarriage will a home pregnancy test be accurate?
I was 7 weeks along when I had a miscarriage, everything was natural, no d&c. It has been about 5 weeks since the start of the miscarriage (it lasted about a week) I took 2 home pregnancy tests yesterday and they both came out positive, could this be because my hcg levels are still up from the miscarriage or is it more likely that I am pregnant?

As long as it’s not accompanied by bleeding it’s normal, it’s just your uterus expanding and getting used to the fetus. Mine never stopped. I’m 33 weeks pregnant and I still get it off and on!!!!!!!

The father of my baby has decided now, two and a half months into my pregnancy, that he wants to see another positive pregnancy test. (Even though I’ve shown him two positive results a month ago) Will the test still come up positive at this point, two and a half months pregnant? Thank you.

if you got pregnant during your period (which isn’t likely because most people ovulate after their period is over unless you bleed for a loooong time)…you wouldn’t know if you are pregnant until you miss your next period…or maybe a couple days before that

#1 is usually missed period in a real close second sore boobs but that happens sometimes when your period is coming . then again you may have NO symptoms dollar general offers a reliable test for a buck i took it the day my period was due and now i am holding my 7 week old daughter otherwise get ahold of your doc you can get a blood test like a week before your period

Like how long after the actual sex, in weeks, are home pregnancy tests most accurate/reliable(if used correctly of course)? My periods are never regular, and I recently lost my virginity to my boyfriend. That’s why I’m asking. Also, my period was already late when I lost my virginity. That was like a month ago now.
I’ve taken two tests which turned out negative. I took them first thing in the morning. But I’m still waiting on my period. It’s irregular all the time but usually not this late.

Your first missed period, which is more or less 30 days. Make sure your using your first morning pee, as it contains the highest hormone levels.

I’m 6 days late. I have never been late before, normally have a 29 day cycle. I tested after being 1 day late – negative. Then tested after being 5 days late in the morning, however I don’t think I did the test correctly as I should have dipped the tester stick in the urine. Result was negative.

My breasts are bigger, not tender really. My stomach is bloated and I have slight cramping. I feel more tired than usual lately too. I think I may be pregnant. When should I test again and how long can it take before the pregnancy hormone shows in urine?

If you have missed your period already then the pregnancy test should be able to detect the HcG hormone in your urine. I would say test again. Make sure you read the directions and if you are worried about doing it incorrectly then pee in a cup first and then dip the pregnancy test into the urine.

It actually took a little longer with the second for me to even realize I was pregnant… I didn’t have any symptoms till I was about 8 weeks or so. Just keep track of your period.

It’s never too early. My friend had sex and the condom broke, but she told me that same night she started feeling weird and KNEW that she was pregnant, and she was!

I had sex on August 23rd, and then started my period two days later. Then I had sex on August 31st. We used a condom both times. My stomach has been hurting and whatnot though, so I want to take a pregnancy test just to sooth any worries I have. Since I just recently had my period, do I have to wait all the way up until I am about to start again/have a late period to check? My periods are usually irregular though, so there is no telling how long that will be. So even though I am not due for another period for awhile, can I go ahead and use a pregnancy test, and it still get a a result? Or, if I am pregnant, would it not show a positive result until I am closer to my period?

I have a baby boy that is nearly 4 months old. I did have a period last month, January 18th start date. I missed this month and was about to go ahead and start birth control, but thought better take a pregnancy test to be sure. They have all come back positive.

So, I am just curious if I could get a false positive after giving birth back in November of 2008.

I play World of Warcraft on an RP server, and this is a huge topic for debate. Assuming blood elves are fertile enough to have children as regularly as humans (which is also debated), how long would their pregnancy last? Please provide lore-based sources.
EDIT: 10 years is a long-ass pregnancy. That is assuming that blood elves follow the same laws and same rules as humans and other real-world animals. Some lore basis, please? Perhaps explaining the orphaned children in Shattrath and Orgrimmar?

Assuming the Blood Elf was made pregnant by another Blood Elf the pregnancy would take 3 months. Since Blood Elves are super human they are able to do anything 3 times faster than humans including give birth. Now if the Blood Elf got impregnated by a Tauren it would probably take 2 days to give birth due to the Taurens growth hormones and rapid acceleration of “Giants” disease.

I had an ectopic pregnancy in October, I was given three doses of methotrexate to bring my hCG levels down, the last one in November. I had some irregular bleeding from November to the end of December and then it stopped. I have not had any bleeding since. In the middle of January my hCG levels were down to 20 from 28000. I just took a pregnancy test and it came out positive. What are the chances of it being a false positive?

first of all in sorry for your loss second if you think it might be a false positive maybe you could wait a few days to take another one if that one comes out positive then you should call your doctor and make an appointment and the doctor can tell you weather or not your really pregnant

Not all woman have pregnancy symptoms or associate them with pregnancy right away.

It takes 2-3 weeks after conception to start to feel symptoms and another 2-3 weeks before you’ll feel larger symptoms like morning sickness.

Question by kso: How long after an ectopic pregnancy is treated with methotrexate can you start trying to concieve again?
My last pregnancy was an ectopic and it was treated with methotrexate by one injection and was told not to try to concieve till after 6 monthes. But have heard others trying right away, like within a month. We are anxious to try again but, scared that if we start trying again of running the risk of another loss, or even birth defects. Any advice?

Those tests are crap :/
I would go to a doctor and get them to see if you are. They test your blood and it’s way more accurate.

It should show up as positive around the same time as you would expect your period to come. So it should show up by now. Go buy another test and take it (or two, just in case). They’re most effective in the morning, and make sure you follow the directions exactly. If you still aren’t sure, go to your Dr. and have a blood test done. But if you get a positive result with a pee test, they’re really accurate and you can believe it.

Well from my experience, I got bloated in my first month of pregnancy

at what a bummer that was.

I got acne later on in my pregnancy, but alot worser things can and

will occur for some women like hemorrhoids, stretchmarks, constipation
etc…

So just enjoy when the time comes for you to finally see the baby

that caused mommy all the problems.

I know women do not usually deploy during pregnancy and they get approximately six weeks of convalescent leave after giving birth, but do they deploy after six weeks or do they stay on shore and work on shore for some time? It is almost impossible for me to believe that the Navy would leave a 2-month old child without its mother for up to 6 months.

more then likely it is up to the mother, if she wants to change her and not be deployed because of the baby or keep it and still go..
