I was 7 weeks along when I had a miscarriage, everything was natural, no d&c. It has been about 5 weeks since the start of the miscarriage (it lasted about a week) I took 2 home pregnancy tests yesterday and they both came out positive, could this be because my hcg levels are still up from the miscarriage or is it more likely that I am pregnant?

Like how long after the actual sex, in weeks, are home pregnancy tests most accurate/reliable(if used correctly of course)? My periods are never regular, and I recently lost my virginity to my boyfriend. That’s why I’m asking. Also, my period was already late when I lost my virginity. That was like a month ago now.
I’ve taken two tests which turned out negative. I took them first thing in the morning. But I’m still waiting on my period. It’s irregular all the time but usually not this late.

Answer by Mellisa W Your first missed period, which is more or less 30 days. Make sure your using your first morning pee, as it contains the highest hormone levels.

A girl I was with a week ago (July 2nd) tested positive on a pregnancy test in a clinic on July 9th. Not balieving the results she bought a Home pregnancy test at the dollar store and it too came back positive. Does the fact that the home test is able to detect her pregnancy rule me out as the father. Its been three weeks since her and her ex boyfriend did their thing.

I took a pregnancy test and it started to show me a result almost immediately (Like I had just finished peeing on it and not even 10 seconds later it showed a blue line in the circle, not the control.) Should I disregard these results or are they just really true?

Answer by Due August 26th w/ #2 Positives are positives. You cant get false positives.
I got a positive right away 4 days before my period was due which was 10 days past ovulation.

Answer by dali333 i beleive that your hormone level would have dropped after a few weeks after delivery.my guess is you are pregnant again.

Answer by mamamama It should show up as positive around the same time as you would expect your period to come. So it should show up by now. Go buy another test and take it (or two, just in case). They’re most effective in the morning, and make sure you follow the directions exactly. If you still aren’t sure, go to your Dr. and have a blood test done. But if you get a positive result with a pee test, they’re really accurate and you can believe it.

Answer by Alisha Home pregnancy test are wrong a majority of the time. Especially if you take them to early. When I was 4 weeks pregnant, the pregnancy test kept reading negative but when I went to the hospital, I was definitely pregnant.

Answer by Tausha It normally takes around two weeks from the point of conception for your body to produce enough HcG (pregnancy hormone) to be readable on a typical at Home pregnancy test. I believe blood tests can tell sooner but you’ll need to make an appointment with your doctor for one of those. Good luck!
