Question by crtate29: pregnancy clothes?
i’m only 9 weeks preggo, but i was wondering from some of you ladies that are further or already have had a baby – do you usually go up in pants size drastically or pretty much stay the same? i was wondering when i went to get some pregnancy jeans if you could wear the ones with the panel throughout your pregnancy if they stretch? or do you need to buy new sizes throughout regardless? thanks!! (and i am obviously aware that you do gain quite a bit of weight! that’s not what i am asking about

Question by ♥New Mommy♥: It’s official, pre-pregnancy clothes no longer fit. When did you turn to maternity wear?
I am 13 weeks. Last week these pants fit fine. This morning I couldn’t even zip them up! Good thing I just got my bella bands in the mail yesterday so I am still able to wear the pants.
When did you start wearing maternity clothes?
I have a few maternity bottoms that my mom got me but they are waaaay too big for me and I can’t wear them now. I did go out this weekend and buy a few work slacks with elastic waists. But I ordered (and just received) my bella bands and they are awesome! I can wear all my pre-pregnancy jeans unzipped and unbuttoned and the bands keep them up and cover up the zipper area. It’s great.

Question by Ashlyn: Did you pack away some of your pre-pregnancy size clothes to make room for the pregnancy clothes?
I was just thinking about this. My bedroom is atrocious cause I do not fit too well into my regular clothes anymore at 4 months pregnant so I am just going to clean out a drawer or two and pack them away. Also when did you start cleaning out the room to be a nursery? I am thinking of doing this now while I feel ok. I am just nervous to it do it this early because if something happens…. UGh, I have no to talk to about this.. sorry for my rambling.

my son’s room now use to be a room with a couple of dressers in there so it wasn’t a probalem we just moved the dressers and added things as we got them. it was not done by them time i had his because i had him a month early but i was done by them time i got home ha ha. Some of my pre pregnancy clothes i fit into while i was pregnant so i jsut put my maternity clothes into a laundry basket floded. i didn’t have too many because at work i wore scrubs so i that’s what i was in the majority of the time and those fit me the whole time

Question by lovedeeply: Whoa! Time for pregnancy clothes already? Need overalls or something that isn’t on my belly?
I’m just barely pregnant, about 4 weeks along and not showing or anything but i already really don’t like the feeling of pants or leggings (or even underwear!) around my belly. I’d wear dresses, but i’d still need tights or leggings and they are feel so tight around my belly. Should I go for overalls? Any decent ones out there? My dad always thought they were the worst thing a woman could wear, but right now I just want something that will keep my belly free.
Any places for cute, inexpensive maternity clothes? Or did you just go up a few sizes in regular clothes? I’m normally a 2/4.

At 4 weeks you don’t need maternity clothes. You would drown in them at this point.

Question by Superstar!!!!… to be: Fashionable pregnancy clothes – Do they exist?!??!?
I am 21, and 22 weeks pregnant. I’m black, I live in an “urban” environment and like the fashion that comes with my culture. I am into Alloy, Forever 21, Wet Seal, Mandee blah blah blah. However, looking for some maternity clothes that fit my idea of fashion is SOO hard to come by. Are all maternity clothes made for the 30-yr-old woman? Are there any alternatives or other choices? I like colors, and would like to look 21 and young, not oh-so-pregnant and frumpy! Any tips?
FYI – I am an 11-13 in juniors pre-preg. Maybe that’s a medium in Women’s….
Best answer:
Answer by Emma X
i think the reason why maternity clothes dont tend to have them labels is because they usual dont fit that long lol!
seems silly to spend all that money on clothes that wont fit long and they do some nice clothes for pregnant women that are just basic maybe u could dress the clothes up yourself with designer accessories?
no body said u cant look fashionable whilst pregnant!
or what not just buy a bigger size?

Question by Senior 2007: Fooling around with clothes on while on my period, Pregnancy?
Could i get pregnant? By fooling around with my boyfriend, basically grinding on each other with our pants on, no penetration whats so ever, and he c***. Should I still make sure that his *** doesn’t get anywhere near “down there” while I’m on my period to make sure I don’t get pregnant?
We fool around with our clothes on because we don’t want to get pregnant. Does clothes + period(tampon) eliminate the the possibility of getting pregnant if he c***.
Best answer:
Answer by Puss In Suit
During your period, the egg is being flushed out of your body, so you can’t get pregnant. But still, it’s a good idea to be safe.

can you get pregnant when youre having s*x but with underwear on i mean like i sat on my bf’s you know what (yahoo might block me if i say it) can you get pregnant doing this even though you have clothes on??
Best answer:
Answer by ribbitt_ribbitt_83
YES there is a possibility. If he came there is still a chance that his sperm made it inside you. The only ture way to prevent pregnancy is to wear a condom, be on birth control and unless you are married still use a condom with the pill, and just wait to do it. The method of pulling out isn’t safe either. Guys pre-cum and release some sperm then and then millions when the do cum. Sperm can live inside a woman for 3-4 days. So even if you aren’t ovulating now and if you will be in the next 3-4 days you could get pregnant. The best way to prevent pregnancy if you insist on having sex is to use protection.

Question by nerdy_girl: Can semen travel through clothes? pregnancy?!!!! help plz?
I have a friend that has been worried about being pregnant. She had dry sex with her boyfriend a week ago. She’s freaking out about being pregnant because shes only 18 years. They were humping each other, he was wearing boxters and jeans, and she totally naked. Later on they notice a little among of semen soaked through his jeans. Could it be possible that the semen got inside her? and make her pregnant?
Best answer:

Your an idiot. Go back to sex ed.
It’s like literally one in a million chance that she could possibly be pregnant. Semen dies basically once it hits the air.

Question by Jay Willie: Chances of Pregnancy through clothes…?
Hello,
Last weekend my GF and I were making out with our clothes on. I had on Boxers and Jeans and she had Underwear and Jeans…While making out, I turned on and I came in my pants because of the occasional friction between us. We did not dry hump or anything like that at all. My jeans were not wet; however, i noticed a small area of my jeans was a little wet. So I was wondering if it was at all possible if any sperm was transferred from my jeans to her jeans, through her undies and landed on her vagina. We were on top of each other at some points; but no rubbing of the body occurred. My boxers were wet, but my jeans were not except for the little area that i mentioned earlier. I know the chances are slim as hell but I’m freaked out because she said she was tired today and i know that tiredness is a one of the symptoms of pregnancy. Please answer because i’m worried as hell… thanks!!
Best answer:
Answer by Logan and Ella’s Mommy
Haha. No. Not even remotely. Being tired happens when you aren’t pregnant you know…When you get tired are you scared you are pregnant? Of course not.

Question by : Maternity clothes that don’t look like maternity clothes? Hiding my early pregnancy?
Hi,
I am not telling anyone I am pregnant until 3 months. I need to buy more clothes for fall and winter right now but I need them to work for when I show as well. Please tell me where I can find clothes that you cannot tell are maternity but that will serve their purpose when I am showing and after I have told people.
Thank you so much!
Best answer:
Answer by Daniel’s Mum~Due 03/23/10
You likely won’t start showing until you are 4-5 months…normally that is when women start. You might just need to buy a pair of jeans that are just one size bigger until then.
I’m in Canada, and I shop at motherhoodmaternity.ca I don’t know where you live, but have a look anyway.

I’m 26 weeks far along.I’m due July. 15.I want to buy pregnancy shorts, capaers, and a swimsuit.but I only have 2 1/2 left.should I do it?none of my shorts and stuff fit me.plus in the summer it will get hot.it already is now.but its like $ 40 for a pair of shorts.
Best answer:
Answer by Megan Scott
I was pregnant until the middle of august and I just wore sweatpant capris. You could buy cheap shorts from walmart, target, etc. you may not be pregnant again in the summer so dont spend alot on them. a swim suit is a good idea because the cool water will help you relax when you are so miserable because of the heat.

Question by Due 12/15: When did you start wearing your maternity clothes?
I feel odd wearing my maternity clothes already because I’m only 9 wks but regular pants mess with my stomach and my regular shirts are too short for the maternity pants. Is it totally odd for a non-pregnant looking person to start wearing her pregnancy clothes?
Best answer:
Answer by Poppy: John is due 12/19/08
I started around 12 weeks. I was not showing but things did not fit and they were really uncomfortable – I also bought a bella band. Now I’m 21 weeks and I have no choice but to wear maternity clothes. When I shop for them I see many many women in the stores who aren’t really *showing* but are buying clothes. Don’t feel weird you will eventually really need them and be happy you have them.

Question by Sarah C: How many weeks pregnant when regular clothes did not fit?
I am 17 weeks pregnant, and still comfortably fit into my regular clothes, yet I hear people say that they bought maternity clothes even earlier. I don’t even feel pregnant- not much for symptoms, no “showing”, etc. Not that I mind- at least I can wait to buy the clothes (which eventually will need to be bought), but it seems odd to me.
Also- how long after birth did you fit into regular pre-pregnancy clothes again?
Best answer:
Answer by Liz
You’re normal. There’s a difference between baby weight gain and being pregnant so giving up the diet weight gain. I was 6 month along before I wore maternity clothes with all my pregnancies. After the baby was born it was 3-4 weeks before my regular clothes started to fit again. Have a few track suits with elastic waistbands around for this time.
