Pregnancy Week 20 Vlog
SORRY it’s so long… lots of pregnancy updating (guess it’s making up for all of the short vlogs?)- our ‘big scan’ an OB & MW apt. and a general life update- a big purchase I totally spaced and ya… hopefully videos will be getting back to normal now! Only one more trip this month and we are staying PUT!!! I also have a question for you guys! (= Thanks for watching! Hope everyone is doing well! Oh and if you don’t like my videos- SAVE YOURSELF the TIME!! Don’t watch them! Sheesh- I haven’t even fixed the title and there is already a thumbs downs- really- if it’s that bad don’t watch! I just don’t get it!

I know !!! I am so different that most of the moms at Porter’s daycare and I haven’t realized that until recently either ! Your belly is ADORABLE !!! SOOOOO exciting that you may be able to stay home !!! Very very cool for you !!! THAT IS RIDICULOUS FOR INSURANCE !!! I know that I went with Blue Cross Blue Sheild while I was in college, however I don’t think it was more than major medical.
I totally can’t believe you are already 20 weeks ! Sad you had a jerky ultrasound tech… I figure why do these people do that job if they don’t find it exciting… oh well I guess ! Doesn’t having an anterior placenta suck !!! I had one with Porter and I could barely feel him move… I am keeping my fingers crossed that the next baby isn’t like that. Your dog is halarious !! That’s crappy that some people had to give you a hard time with the cosleeping… people need to stop judging others

Do you or have you had really bad pain under your ribs. I ‘am 23 weeks pregnant as of last thursday. And this week I’am having pain underneath my ribs. Is that just heartburn.

You guys are so lucky to have midwives, would you know of any that would come to Saudi Arabia? Lol.. I’m newly pregnant with my second and would love to have a home birth!
I LOVED my midwife!!! The care is just unparalleled…my midwife is even having me over to her house for a lunch/6 week update combo. My placenta was anterior, too…it sounds like the ocean, I think. Probably hearing that in utero is why ocean noises are so soothing.
I felt exactly the same way at my friends baby shower. I was the only one there that nursed, co slept and cloth diapered. I felt a little out of place. I couldn’t wait to get home and talk to my on-line friends!
I know what you mean about midwives! LOVED mine and the doctor never seemed o really want to spend time with me or explain anything! I am so glad you are going to a midwife… SO awesome! I did vlogs about my home birth and stuff too!!

@OurBabyKlatt I agree with this…sometimes i’ll wake up in the middle of the night on my back and sometimes its the only comfortable position i can find! and i feel like if it wasnt comfortable for my body i wouldnt do it in my sleep uncontrolably.

About the heart thing on the ultrasound, that happened at your 18w scan with Zoe and the tech explained that they have to capture a good picture showing all 4 chambers for the doctor to see. Even though they can see the 4 chambers clearly when the heart is beating, it is sometimes tricky to catch all 4 in a picture.
Who has suffered losses? I follow lots of mommy’s on here. That is terrible. You look wonderful and I’m so excited for you!!!! Love your videos

I don’t understand why all american dr’s tell you not to sleep on your back. I am from Germany and have asked so many midwives and OBGYN’s about back sleeping (after hearing all of these american vloggers) say no to back sleeping all said it was false. Everyone I know here that is pregnant or has been pregnant has always slept on their backs. When you should not be sleeping on your back anymore is when you lay on your back and feel nauceous to the point where you will actually throw up

you should try bio oil for itchiness it’s not as greasy as some lotions that i tried when i was preg and i think it did help w my stretch marks and it also didn’t smell bad =)
@MrsAdema there are definatly LPNs and RNs that work at my OBs office. I am in nursing school and while I still have one more OB course to take we have not learned anything about ultrasounds this far.
@mommyof2britany Not entirely true if the nurse that she is refering to is a nurse practioner which if im not mistaken are the only nurses that work in dr.’s offices. I had my 20 wk ultrasound a couple weeks ago & my dr specifically told me that the nurse practioner which is his assistant will read the ultrasound & if anything is wrong will send the information to him.

if it helps about the heart thing, they spent ages checking ellas heart in one scan as well so i askd y and they said they have to check all 4 valves individually and check for certain things, so thatl b y
