Some people I know felt nauseous all of a sudden, some even the day after they supposedly conceived. All women are different, though.

I had most of the symptoms. The first test I took said negative, but I took another because “I felt it in my bones” that I was pregnant. Then I took another, and it was positive. A week later I went to the doctor
I had implantation spotting.
I knew right away I was pregnant because I NEVER spot between periods.
I just felt different, such as being more tired and a little bit nauseous at times. I knew before the test I was pregnant, but didn’t really believe it until I saw the positive test.
I use NFP, so with both my pregnancies I knew there was a very good chance I was pregnant before I tested. I had signs that I was ovulating around the time we had sex, and had a shift in my basal body temperature shortly after. My first “sign” was probably the sustained and increasing basal temps.
Other than that… I had NO symptoms before taking a pregnancy test. I tested positive about 10-12 days after ovulation. At about 14-15 days I could tell I was missing my period (after this point, I would have known I was pregnant from my NFP charts even without the preg test). I didn’t have any other definite symptoms for a while after that. I think my morning sickness, heartburn, fatigue, etc. started around 6-8 weeks.
Scientifically speaking, I think it’s very rare to actually experience definite symptoms before a preg test shows positive. If the hormone levels aren’t high enough for a test to work, they aren’t high enough to cause symptoms yet either. A lot of other things can cause nausea, headache, fatigue, etc. so it’s easy to look back after and think that was a pregnancy symptom, but it might not have been. It is also quite common to make yourself think you have pregnancy symptoms when you really don’t, just because you think you could be pregnant or you want to be pregnant.
I felt symptoms first. With my first pregnancy, I had mild cramping and thought my period was coming. I took the test at my friend’s suggestion and was shocked to see that it was positive. With my second, I felt symptoms every day for a week before testing. By the time I took the test I was sure I was pregnant. The test just confirmed it.
