Maybe a silly question… I know during pregnancy you’re supposed to avoid standing for long periods of time… but why exactly? I ask because at work I have to stand for 7-8 hours per day and only get to sit down whilst on a break.
What are the actual risks for the baby/myself?

i think the only risks are for your back, i bet it hurts like crazy!!!

I don’t think it’s a risk I think it just causes back aches and swollen ankles
worked up until the last 3 weeks with my son and i had to stand for 7-8 hours a day in work as well i had a seat but didn’t get to use it much. aside from my feet and back ache i was fine,i didn’t get swollen ankles,just make sure to put them up when you get home and get your partner to give you a foot rub!
