Congrats again!!! Im due march 19th. I hope all is well.
i had my son a few days after you on july 20th my due date was on july 19th but the day after my bp was high and i had some major swelling so i was sent over to be induced but your labor sound just like mine but i didnt get the epi in time they broke my water quarter 8pm i was dilated to a 4 when i wanted the epi i was a 7 with in a few mins i was a 10 and he was born at 8:24pm and he flew out but the nurses were there when he was born the doctor walked in right after he was born

I can’t remember, did you need pitocin with sophie? I was induced with my son for having HELLP and contractions were terrible. I just got my BFP for baby #2! (I just started making videos actually) and I was curious about how much better natural contractions are over pitocin induced contractions. Thanks for sharing your story!

I’d love to see a first impression of Grayson, and it you felt like you’ve always known him, or if you were surprised by his eyes/hair/personality. What little things he does that are unique to him etc.
You were likely NOT induced. Your labour was augmented. If they assist you in increasing contractions and your labour is already started, it is called augmentation of labour.

I have been following this for days (obviously) after they were all uploaded and I’m amazed how you were both able to make this…when I am having a hard time finding time to watch them, and I have NO babies!!

Respond to this video… Nursing your baby is the most beautıful gıfts you can gıve to your baby. next tıme I am not tryıng a pacıfıer or formula-no way. Just my mılk to gıve to my baby-all natural. Also I breastfed my mom untıl 3 and I as a chıld I never used to get sıck . I dont remember goıng to the dr.
@fjosey I got a strange look from everyone here about feeıng my baby wıth formula because my baby was too small to be on formula. Why ıs formula avaılable ın the hospıtals anyway? ıt should only be avaılable for emergency sıutatıons. They basıcally gıve away formulas and pacıfıers there even when not asked. YOu have to really advocate for yourself. I see advertısement of formulas there ın hospıtals and pedıatrıcan offıces. here I see pıctures of moms nursıng theır babies.
@fjosey Yes there is a big breastfeeding ıssue there medıcally and socıally. My sons pedıatrıcıan even told me that I probably do not have enough mılk to supply my baby. When I came here after the bırth of my son, I saw a pedıatrıcıan here, he was surpsıded wıth the fact that I was gıvıng formula to my baby at age 2 months. He was so dıssapoınted. he saıd there ıs no such thıng as lıttle mılk supply-the more you feed hım the more your breasts wıll produce. and he was rıght.

@gunesgun I understand about the breastfeeding issue. I’ve heard many women tell me that nurses and doctors told them “You’re not going to make enough, your baby needs formula.” Which is really sad. I agree with you… It is normal and should be treated as so. The FDA recently started cracking down on these hospitals not supporting breastfeeding as they should. The U.S. seems to be one of the only countries that sexualizes the breast and can’t see past that.
@gunesgun I meant… they usually do not push women to do something that is going to cause serious problems. If your doctor could see issues arising they should have prevented that trauma, not forced you through it. You obviously weren’t ready and they pushed you. =(

overthere-there are formulas and pacıfıer avaılable for your baby -ın the hospıtals. I have never seen that here. people nurse theır babıes untıl 1 or 2. 2 ıs recommended by drs. many people ın the states thınk that ıs weırd nursıng a baby untıl 2. actually you only get about 6 weeks off from work so moms have a very hard tıme wıth breastfeedıng. anyway-ıt’s a dıfferent topıc but I am trytıng to say dıfferent countrıes and cultures have dıfferent perspectıves and bırth ıs one of them.
most Americans -American women and the health professıonals advocate for vagınal delıvery not necesarly natural though.. but what I find ınteresting ıs most hospıtals ın Amerıca are not breastfeedıng frıendly. For example-here, I see a pıcture of a mom nursıng hıs baby ın every hospıtal. you wıll also see the breastfeedıng benefıts lıst all over the hospital. ıt ıs encouraged. publıc breastfeedıng ıs also normal. actually there are breastfeedıng rooms ın most places lıke the mall hospıtal etc.
