What about the contractions that get closer, longer, & stronger to the point of 5 minutes apart, 30 seconds a time, hard enough to have to breathe through, & stay there with the cervix not dilating past 2 cm & the triage & dr. sending you home after a cocktail shot that does nothing for them? Sure am glad I know how to check my own cervix. That’s the only way to know I won’t be sent home when I return to the hospital. Hopefully, I don’t give birth on the way.
