I am a midwife in the UK (our midwives work slightly different in that we don’t have obstretic nurses-find it odd they put you in a hosp gown) and i cannot believe the midwife said that…..if you had given me that info on the phone there;s no way would i have said that you were in early labour!! I loved your labour and delivery story, thank for sharing
It amazes me how different maternity is between there and here

It sounds like your midwife failed in really listening to her patient. She was looking for you to follow her birth plan not Rylie’s plan..lol. Very happy that things ended up well & shes beautiful.

Congrats! Oh how exciting! Your story makes me a tiny bit less nervous about if I can’t get in epidural in time. Oh and Our Son was 7lbs 13 oz and 20.28 in! Almost the exact same size

Oh & I didn’t get an epidural with my son…I gave birth to a big baby boy totally natural. Its not easy, lol…
i broke my water right before i started pushing with my son! i thought i had to go to the bathroom and i didnt want to go when i was pushing but it was just my water
good job! im glad you felt everything!!! i think you would have been pushing forever if the epidural kicked in!
Congrats. I reall y hope i have a super fast labor with this one. I have a feeling i’ll be in there for EVER though. She’s adorable.
