What are the chances of a normal healthy pregnancy?
Question by Grace: What are the chances of a normal healthy pregnancy?
I just had a miscarriage last week and I still have not recovered. I’m so sad, but I do not want to lose hope. I really want to start trying again after three to five months.
The doctor said that the miscarriage had nothing to do with me or my body. She said most likely the pregnancy wasn’t developing normally due to a chromosome problem
My question is: what are the chances of a normal healthy pregnancy for me the next time I try?

Very high. MOST women experience at least one miscarriage. The fact is, many just don’t know it because it happens so early that they think it is just an abnormal period.

I had a miscarriage. 2 months later I got pregnant again. my daughter is now 3 months and she is very healthy and bautiful. I know its scary after you have a miscarriage but just hope for the best and be positive. best of luck to you
First, I’m very sorry for your loss.
Of course you haven’t recovered yet, it’s only been a week! How difficult this must be for you.
So many women have miscarriages for exactly that reason, and go on to have beautiful, healthy babies.
Miscarriage is very, very common, and you shouldn’t give up hope or blame yourself.
Good luck to you and feel better.
Until you’ve had 3 miscarriages in a row, your chances for a healthy pregnancy next time around is the same as if you hadn’t had one. I thinks it’s 25% or something like that, of pregnancy end in miscarriage. Most woman don’t know about it either, they just figure they’re period was a day late, and they’re period is a little heavier than normal. Your doc is right when she says it has nothing to do with you or your baby. Don’t worry bout it. Good luck and lots of baby dust!
I too had a miscarriage and got pregnant 6 months later… I am now 16 weeks pregnant and things are going great. the worse part is the constant worry about losing another baby. They say once you hear the heartbeat then chances of miscarriage goes down. Also, if you make it to your second trimester miscarriage goes down to 3-10%… which is good. but it still weights heavy on your mind… trust me! Good luck and I am sorry for your loss
Very good. I had a miscarriage in November and now I’m pregnant again. I have a 5yo also. There are so many reasons why you miscarry. I believe that the reason I miscarried was I waited too late after I ovulated to have sex. The egg and sperm joined, but the embryo was not viable because the egg was deteriating. My husband was out of town when I ovulated and when he got back the next night is when I got pregnant. A circumstance like that is completely nonrelated to the ability of your body to sustain a healthy pregnancy.
oh, you have very good chances of concieving and having a normal pregnancy.. I know you’re feeling down right now, but honestly don’t worry at all…. i know MANY women who have had a miscarraige, but have gone on to have 2 even 3 normal pregnancies with healthy babies
