It’s normal. You shouldn’t expect her to lose weight right away.

  6. Tears In Rain says:

Totally normal. Some woman even wear maternity clothes when they are not pregnant because they fit really well.

  7. Toby says:

Yes! I wore mine for quite a while after my little one was born. It’s really hard to go back to regular jeans once you’ve experienced the joy of maternity pants! :)

  8. Shabina says:

Yes of course it is it will help you flatten your tummy and yes they are really comfortable i done the same but she will get out of them though don’t worry about it its ok.

  9. Doonhamer says:

You’re worried? Why, what’s gonna happen? It’s normal and also none of your concern.

  10. Mrs Apple says:

This is normal. You don’t lose the baby weight immediately. It takes time to do that and by wearing those pants, she feels more comfortable than trying to squeeze into a pant size that she can’t fit. Pregnancy pants are stretchy, so it adjusts to her body shape.

I wore my pregnancy clothes at least a couple months after my baby was born. Then, I had to convince myself to buy bigger pants which look ridiculous on me. It’s because when you buy bigger pants, it’s bigger throughout the leg area. All I had was a big stomach and skinny legs.

  11. Nora says:

its normal. I wore them for a little while after my baby was born. he’s 6 months now and they are too big.

  12. Ally, ILoveYouChloe says:

Totally normal, lots of people do it.

  13. Jess says:

My baby is 9 weeks and I still wear my maternity pants! They ARE really comfy and they still look like regular pants. Its kind of hard to get back into regular pants when you have that hanging belly to worry about!

  14. JustAnotherMom says:

She probably can’t fit into her pre-pregnancy pants yet, most women can’t that early on, and it’s much cheaper to just wear your maternity clothes for a while than to go out and buy a whole new wardrobe for a size you hope not to be wearing for a long time. Don’t bug her about it, while it may not be the most fashionable choice, her tummy is probably a bit sensitive still and it may be saggy enough that her old pants just are not going to work. I know of a number of women who wear maternity clothes as regular clothes since pregnancy left them with a figure that will permanently fit maternity clothes better than regular clothes. If it doesn’t bother her than you shouldn’t let it bug you. Be her friend and be supportive, having a tiny baby is a lot of work and she is probably much more worried about comfort than about how she looks.
