How do you know when you are dropping in your pregnancy?
Question by Christie S: How do you know when you are dropping in your pregnancy?
I am 30 wks. And I have had pelvic and back pain again(I had it in my first trimester it was stretching.) but not where I can’t really sleep cause I am never comfortable no more. This has been going on for about 1 wk now and I am in a pregnancy club and they say that dropping can mean (if first pregnancy)that you will deliver in about 2 to 4 wks.Could I be having this baby really soon. I feel him in my pelvic area.
the pregnancy club didn’t describe symptoms.
The pregnancy club is on the internet babyzone.com they don’t have details but What ARE the main symptoms of dropping? where can I find info?Im not that worried and I am going to the doc its just I want to know what to expect.

The head can engage weeks before going ino proper labour. Just chill and if your worried see your midwife or doctor.
I just recently had my baby, and the same thing happened to me so yes I think you could be fixing to have your baby congratulationgs.
when you drop you usually feel better can breath a lot easier.
It maybe is a sign that your baby is special or you need to go the doctor
Your stomach will begin to lowered, don’t worry to concentrate on having a healthy baby by eating the appropriate foods and getting plenty of exercise (walking), doing a lot of walking will help you have a much easier birth. good luck and congratulations
sleep with a pillow between your legs (above your knees) for the back pain (check with your doctor first if you want)
GOOD LUCK and congrats.. I never knew when I dropped I just knew when I got birthing surges – look into hypnobirthing – teaches about why you need to breath deeply and relax when you are birthing and having surges… honestly I found this birthing thing no big deal like people say – 1 year old boy now..
Everything is going to be soo wonderful for you..!
wait a few weeks if the baby is still there then maybe its almost time most of the time they go up and down a few times before really dropping into position
Oh, I don’t think that you are going to deliver that soon, especially if everything is going well with the pregnancy so far. Having only 10 weeks to go, you are going to feel miserable for the rest of the time and actually, its going to get more uncomfortable. Next time you go to the doctor, you can request a pelvic exam to make sure that you haven’t dilated and starting to efface. They might not do it and they might also be able to tell just by an outside exam that everything is okay. I really do think that the pregnancy will go to full term, like I said, especially if everything is fine so far. But, ask your doctor and don’t trust everything that you hear on the net!
when your lardass hits the ground. I doubt you know who the father is either so put it up for adoption now, it’s either that or when it’s 5 years old tell the brat to get a job and carry it’s own weight or your going to boot it out. My mom did and it worked out fine for me. You’re on welfare right?
You can be dropped and still have several weeks to go. You can tell you’ve dropped when you feel a little more relief under your rib cage, you feel more pressure in your pelvic area, and people who see you every day actually notice and start telling you. The true indicators of getting close are “thinning” & “dilation” of your cervix.
I would say it depends on the baby’s size and where it is in development. My wife had pelvic pain most of her pregnancy because she had a large baby (over 9 lbs). Pelvic pain does not always mean that you are about to deliver. It could still be weeks away. If you are really worried, check with you dr. on the next visit.
I went 2 months feeling like I was walking and rubbing the sides of my son’s head. But then I was carrying low through my entire pregnancy
