How do i keep my pregnancy secret on Christmas day?
Question by Champagne: How do i keep my pregnancy secret on Christmas day?
I’m going to my Aunts on Christmas day and all the family will be there, i will be 10 weeks pregnant and the only other person that knows is my husband.
I’m not wanting to tell anyone about my pregnancy until after my first scan, which is scheduled for early January.
How do i stop people “guessing” i’m pregnant when i can barely eat with morning sickness, feel really tired, and won’t be drinking.
How can i act “normal” ?

Tell people you got the flu bug. No one feels like eating with the flu, you’re tired and achy, vomiting sometimes happens and drinking is no fun with the flu.

If you’re starting to develop a bump already wear something a little baggy. Just something non-form fitting, you don’t want to make it seem like you’re *trying* to hide something.
Do you live in a place where it’s cold/snowing a lot? You could always tell people you think you’re coming down with a cold. Or starting to get over one. That could explain the lack of appetite. And people tend to feel tired when they’re sick.
And mixing alcohol while sick is never strongly recommended.
Its going to be really hard because it probably all you think about!! i think it would be a great christmas present to share with everyone. Im have been trying to get pregnant again and was hoping i would have a positive test so i could share with everyone at Christmas… if you really don’t want to share you could always use the i think im coming down with something skit!!! Good luck and Merry Christmas
you have a cold and your doctor put you on meds, get an old prescription bottle and fill it with vitamins and tell them you can’t drink on them and sometimes they make you sick.
Congratulations on your baby! do you drive? if yes, that is your answer to not drinking, you can say that you are driving, If not, one drink wont hurt the baby so you can still act relatively normal. Hopefully by lunch time your morning sickness would have died down abit and you can have your xmas lunch. hope all goes well for you : )
simply say no if people ask,
my husbands aunt guessed i was preggo because of the way i held my belly, i kept my hands around my belly…so if you do that…don’t lolz
try to stick close around a bathroom maybe? or if you have to make constant runs to the bathroom just make up some silly excuse…
i would be really excited to tell everyone lolz but i understand with the whole ultrasound thing, but at 10 weeks i don’t think you pose any risks, your 2 weeks away from 12 weeks and at 12 weeks its sort of like a milestone since the risk of miscarriage is low
anywho congrats on your pregnancy and good luck and god bless the rest of the way
when my friend was pregnant and couldnt tell us she told us she was on antibiotics for a sick bug and thats why she couldnt drink. . Alternatively you could just pretend you’ve drunk too much the night before and have a hangover – i dont think i would be able to guess if u done that. (i knew my friend was pregnant even when she said she was on antibiotics lol!) maybe it would be a lovely way to tell ur family the news though on christmas day, when evryones there
good luck
