Question by Me: What is best diet for a new mom who wants to lose pregnancy weight?
I need to lose 30 stubborn pounds. My right leg is messed up from the pregnancy, and I dont get to do exercise that requires running/ aerobics.
I eat healthy – no sweets, fast food etc.

just play with your baby, like you can use it (him/her) as a type of weigh and lay on your back and lift (him/her) up many times, or just chasing them around the house once they start crawling, go see a doctor maybe you can get into a physical therapy class to help with your leg.

    Well atkins works really fast but maybe it’s not the healthiest, just try cutting back a few carbs and such and excercise in different ways that don’t require the use of your legs. Don’t worry you will I lost 70 lbs on atkins in 4 months

    atkins is a fake diet. Just chase your kid around and cut out high fructose corn syrup (Pop, candy, ect).

    Of course, I would start off with eating right – 6 small meals per day, balanced, with plenty of water.

    Start resistance exercising. This will help your right leg. You can train your right leg so it becomes stronger, plus muscle burns more calories than any other type of tissue in the body, so as you develop more muscle, you will burn more fat.

    Don’t worry about becoming a “he-woman” by working out. The fact is that fat takes up 5 times the amount of space as muscle, and to become a “he-woman”, you would have to embark upon a serious exercise, nutrition, and supplement regimen similar to professional body builders. By working out, you will get that slim, toned look that everyone likes.

    Finally, as you build your right leg, you can start doing cardio work on a stationary bike. It may not be for several months, but cardio is a great way to burn fat.

    You may want to purchase a book called Body for Life by Bill Phillips – it has good basic information regarding getting fit & eating right that you could use.

    Don’t eat white sugar, brown sugar, or white flour. Stop drinking milk. Walk 30 min/day. I’ve had 4 children and have lost weight several different ways. These are some great healthy ones. If you choose to stop drinking milk, make sure you get calcium in from yogurt, cheese, legumes, and lots of dark green veggies.

    I like Weight Watcher, plus it has options if you are breast feeding. I had baby weight (for the last 12 years) that I finally got rid of.

    Adkins is no a fake diet, it does work, you just have to be careful when you do it! And if youre breastfeeding…NO! You can lose the weight fast, just be careful, and dont do what alot of people end up doing….cutting out carbs completely!! NO! NO! NO! You just cut out carbs in the first 2 weeks, then slowly start adding “a little” bit of carbs. And try not to eat after 7 or 8pm, that helps alot too!

    After I had my daughter, the breastfeeding helped the weight slide right off, but I was overweight before becoming pregnant and had more to lose beyond baby weight. I was skeptical, but Weight Watchers was worth every penny. I lost weight without exercising, which I didn’t have much time for. If you truly are interested in exercise, there are a lot of options out there that don’t involve running or high-impact aerobics. You can buy videos that you can do while your baby is sleeping.
