Prenatal Appt Update & C-sections
Just an update on how my prenatal appointment went and my thoughts and opinion on this doctor. Advice and support is welcomed! =) After I made this video I found a link with a lot of surprising information in it. My doctor either didn’t know or lied to me because 42.5% of twins are both head down at the time of delivery, 26% have one baby head down and the other baby breech, and only 6% of babies are still both breech. I know a lot of people that prefer c-sections actually… but whatever. It’s just what you’re used to. You’ve already had a vaginal birth, you had a good experience, so of course you don’t want to deter from what you already know. I can’t see why he would say that’s selfish? Weird.
Go to a midwife!! Your doctor is pushing a c-section because he is clueless about natural birth. He is a surgeon, and surgeons do surgeries. That’s that. Go to a different doctor/midwife asap! Otherwise I guarantee you will have an unnecessary c-section.
I absolutely adore the way you state your opinion here, and I agree with it completely. Twins born vaginally are totally safe if they’re in the right position. Also, it is 100% normal for baby’s heartrate to drop before birth. Their umbilical cord is being squeezed through the birth canal, so of course it’ll happen!
I hope you end up with the birth you want– it’s your body and your babies, and you deserve the best for your family.
I’m 22 and don’t have any children but I’ve done a lot of research on birth plans and pregnancy just bc it interests me. That being said, I hardly know anyone who has had a natural birth recently in my small town in KY. I watched that documentary you mentioned, The Business of Being Born, and I believe it to be true here. Babies come when they’re ready, not on the doctor’s schedule and I hate the thought of having to fight for the birth I want. Good luck to you and I hope you find a midwife!
That doctor sounds like a piece of shit. As humans we have red flags go off for a reason. Find another doctor!
Know a lot of people that had twins normally without no c section plus they hurt a lot after the birth.
I think you should find a new doctor. If you dont trust him you will never be comfortable with it. I see why you dont want a c section. I live in the uk and we arent allowed to choose to have a c section so when you have twins here its expected that you only have a c section if its needed

I agree with YOU! A C-section isnt needed UNLESS you & your babies are a risk or your health and the babies. I say Vaginal birth is the BEST WAY TO GO! your not wrong,.

I agree that you should switch to another doctor. Unfortunatly some doctors/hospitals are more concerned about statistics and not getting sued rather than delivering the baby to the mothers personal choice. Its your birth plan, your experience- don’t let them try and influence you! You go girl! xx
This doctor just sounds like he prefers the predictability of a schedule. Vaginal births are too spontaneous for his calender.
i know you want to deliver at the same hospital but you should look into like a birthing center cuz they are pro vaginal and stuff and it wouldn’t hurt to check it out

And I’ve discussed that issure SEVERAL times, so you must’ve not seen that. You can believe whatever you want, but I have NEVER lied about that. You don’t have to believe me because I know the truth and I know for a FACT that I know my life better than you, so that’s on you.

@kendra326 I guess you haven;t research online before? Gov, org, and med websites are the creditable ones. And you can also look up their sources as well. The AAP, WHO, and other medical organization websites are legit also. HOW am I sparking up a debate? By talking about my life? I update my daily life as it changes, THAT’S why I make these videos, it’s my life, not a TV show. So if you don’t like it then don’t watch.
To be honest, I didn’t know that twins could be birthed naturally. I always thought that multiples had to be done by c-section.. Not to be rude, just always thought so.
Just to reassure you, my younger brother and sister are twins and my mother had a vaginal birth with them as well as me! It is definitely possible to have twins vaginally and I sincerely recommend you switching doctors

@UGAZTA I’m sorry, but going to medical school does not mean you know anything about birthing a child. C sections are rising and have been since the 1990s. They are not healthier for the mother or the baby and should only be used when no other option is available. They hinder the important bonding experience of a mother and a child and it is MAJOR SURGERY. The united states has the 2nd worst newborn death rate in the modern world. We’re obviously doing something wrong. Time to go back to basics.

I would go see another Doctor for a second opinion. You have every right to do a vaginal birth. its your body. regaurdless of what he says you have the choice, he cant make you have a c-section. Unless its needed for safety reasons. Im glad you arent letting this go, because it is a big deal. Its your choice!!!
I def don’t think you are being TOO PICKY it is YOUR body and YOUR babies so you should get whatever it is you want i mean this is about your experience and how you want it to be. You’re a very smart young woman and you always do your research which is great because it’s really sad the number of women who don’t know the facts and get tricked into having an c-section that isn’t needed you’re doing a fab job and i think everything will work out for the best for you and your pregnacy
