lol you posted this video on the same day i was having my daughter Leah.
I found this video very informative. It’s giving me a lot to think over now that I’m making my birth plan. Baby is due in January. Thank you for posting!
Your birthing experiances are truely above average, but the bradley method of natural childbirth has a specific chapter on everything that can go wrong, thats what i was saying that it is the only birth class that is so informative even “Professional Birthers” are amazed at the info. that being said, yes your special births would be painful to experiance. but its not the norm,I have no doubt that you are a wonderful mother. You have given them the best birth, sorry if my last post offended you.
@ely1m What class prepares you to give a dry birth- absent normals? Such as amniotic fluid to cushion normal labor pain….or teaches you to give birth to an abdomen which is swollen to abnormal proportion and is even larger than the baby’s head? The head and shoulders (the “hardest part” to push out) is done….but then stuck. There was unknowns that no class could’ve prepared me for last round. I enjoy motherhood and my boy, and it was worth any pain felt -but birth wasn’t enjoyable 4 me.
@ely1m Well not entirely true…I did take a birthing class years back – as the support. Since, I’ve read tons of books, watched countless videos, etc….given birth myself x5 now. I disagree rehearsal can get you ready for ANYTHING. On my last birth July 07 – my baby was born w fluid backed into his bladder and kidneys so his ab was swollen to much larger than his head….he became lodged at his torso during birth. There was NO fluid which even intensified pain further. We just didn’t know.
dont you think if you were taught how to give birth and had labor rehearsals that it wouldn’t be as painful? you did say that you never took a birth class. I took bradleybirth com and i REAL enjoyed my birth, and its the most informative class out there on childbirth with great rehearsal that get you ready for ANYTHING that can happen. Loved it!
@OneSunnyDayinMarch2 Congratulations!! Glad to hear everything went great and your little one is doing so well! Thanks for the update!
@jjandjake – UPDATE: Well, here I am holding my Baby in my arms…She was born on the 26th after a Patocin Induction (I had lost my mucus plug 3 days prior and had small losses of amiotic fluid since) The delivery was ‘Au Naturel” . although very (…very) painful, I am glad i did it without pain medication … My girl latched on immediately and has been doing great ever since =) Nature does great things!! Thanks for the well wishes =)
@OneSunnyDayinMarch2 Well I wish you the best – I am sure you’ll do great. Let me know how it goes for you!
@ely1m no classes – lots of books, videos, websites…
Thank you =) I am about to experience Childbirth for the first time in Early June. Your video gave me a good insight of my options – I plan on giving birth as Naturally as I possibly can . I like to think I have a good High Pain Tolerence but Chilbirth is obviously one I am not familiar with – I suppose I am just gonna have to tell myself what you did yourself :” Our body is made to handle this”….Thanks again. =)
What Natural Childbirth class did you take to help you prepare for your natural births?
WOW ! You look better, and fitter, and more solidly planted on this earth with every childbirth! Is this all for real? What a superb contribution you are making to the lives of young mothers to be. Five kids have made you strong and so wise.
I am an old fart of 55 and even I have been educated, amazed, and entertained by this excellent video. All the best to you and yours!
Thank you for posting this video..I had an epidural with my first and want to go natural with the second. Very informative!
thank you very much for this video and also the other one (the “live” on your vbac). i had my little girl about 15 months ago with urgent c-section and was actually terrified by the inhuman screaming from the birth room, i still wonder if this is always the case… in your vid one can see that sure, you suffer a lot, but you are not loosing control. this gives me hope for a trial of labour (vbac). thanks again and good luck to you for everything
My mum would want me to have a baby (she wants to be a grandma bless her) but I am actually petrified of the whole ”pregnancy thing
(( I feel bad, I don’t think I’ll ever be as good mum as my mum was :/
My childbirth was a natural birth. He was 9pounds 2onces, 21inch, And it really hurt,Breathing help me a lot,I take 45min to push, cause the baby was big and his soulders doesn’t wanna go out!Every childbirth it’s not the same! For the epidural it was too late,I was so tired and paineful that I didn’t have the strength to push hard, can’t go out of the bed cause my head was spinning.I have 4stiches. But i’m proud of my natural birth,I do it very well and I have a son that I love with all my heart!
wow you look so much like claire danes.
@BXallday4liffe I would say it’s a woman’s choice or personal preference and there are arguments on both sides. With my epidural, there was no pain or feeling, so I would push as hard as I could and it did take awhile but when I compare it to my non-medicated births, I think the pain encouraged some serious pushing – and the baby was delivered much more quickly on those occasions – because at that point, I knew it was the only way the pain would stop.
Is it bad for women to get pain relief when they’re giving/about to give birth? I heard that it might be bad becasue they cant feel themselves pushing the baby out but I do have bad memory sometimes.
@SPIRITofLOVE76 thanks for the comment – I wish you all the best!! Congrats!
Wow thanks for the info, really helpful. My mom says I should go natural, after listening to you I will.
