I feel odd wearing my maternity clothes already because I’m only 9 wks but regular pants mess with my stomach and my regular shirts are too short for the maternity pants. Is it totally odd for a non-pregnant looking person to start wearing her pregnancy clothes?

I started around 12 weeks. I was not showing but things did not fit and they were really uncomfortable – I also bought a bella band. Now I’m 21 weeks and I have no choice but to wear maternity clothes. When I shop for them I see many many women in the stores who aren’t really *showing* but are buying clothes. Don’t feel weird you will eventually really need them and be happy you have them.

At 15 weeks I had to wear maternity shirts, now at almost 22 weeks, I just had to go buy maternity pants, I can still fit into my 3/4′s with a hairtie around the button, but it isn’t the most comfortable.
I started wearing them about 7wks or so. I am pregnant with Twins and my regular clothes are so uncomfortable.

i started weaing maternity clothes when i was 2,3 months
Xsmall was a lil loose, but now can’t fit Medium, and jeans are not really comfy at the last month, so now i mostly wear maternity dress 
very comfy …. And its not odd at all! …. so dont worry, just wear something that makes you comfy ……
I started wearing mine “full-time” when I was in my 16th week. Prior to that, I mix-matched pieces of my wardrobe to what fit me and was comfortable. I think it’s really a personal choice when you decide to and it’s based on how you are growing, your pre-pregnancy body, and what makes you happy! My friend starting wearing hers “full-time” around 13 weeks or so. Just do what makes you comfortable and happy!

Im 24 weeks and I havent even bought maternity clothes yet..
why did I get a thumbs down? Im not lying, everybody grows differently, there is absolutely nothing wrong with wearing maternity clothes at 9 weeks if you feel like you need them.. but the question asked when I started wearing them, and all I said was that I havent needed them yet..
I started to wear mine at about 12 weeks. Although they were still a little big for a month or 2.
You need to do what is most comfortable for you. Every woman is different. If this is a second or third pregnancy you will show much sooner. I am 10 weeks pregnant with my third and I just went to the maternity store and picked up a few things. I can’t stand to be uncomfortable. The Bella bands are nice too but I think the maternity pants are just more comfortable. So do what is best for you and don’t worry what anyone else thinks.
im 7 months and am not wearing maternity clothes i still wear my regular pants
I’m 21 weeks and I just have to wear some maternity shirts because my breasts got huge and my belly is sticking out too much for my liking in some of my prepregnancy shirts. My pants though are still fitting me! They are low cut though so it doesn’t bother my belly, but I’m sure I’ll be getting a maternity pair of jeans when that time comes that I cant fit in my old jeans!
I am 10 weeks and I needed them since 6 or 7 weeks. I’m not really showing yet but I don’t feel comfortable with my regular clothes. I like to wear loose clothes like sweat pants and t-shirts or pj’s.
Don’t feel odd…had I realized how comfortable maternity pants were I would have bought some as soon as I found out I was pregnant! I didn’t start wearing until about 16Weeks, that’s when I bought a pair of the “secret belly fit” from motherhood. Great Pants, so comfortable! Don’t buy on-line though b/c they are like $ 45, in the store they are only $ 25.
Im 35 weeks and have not had to wear any maternity clothes didnt have to either with my first i only gained 17 pounds with her and she was 8lb1oz and this one i gained 24 lbs so far even the extra small clothes are to big.
I’m 12 weeks right now and have been wearing a bella band for about a week. If I really wanted to wear my pre-pregnancy bottoms I’m sure I could, but I would be very uncomfortable! Wear what feels comfortable to you, that’s all that matters!
