My baby is 4 months old and I still can’t fit into my pre-pregnancy clothes…?
Question by Silly Jilly: My baby is 4 months old and I still can’t fit into my pre-pregnancy clothes…?
It’s so depressing. I am eating less but can’t exercise too much because of a c-section that took a long time to heal. Have you lost all of your pre-pregnancy weight or is there anyone else out there that is having trouble shifting the weight? Is it normal to still not have lost the weight?

If you had a c-section, you need to take it easy and stop blaming yourself for not dropping the weight right away. These things take time.
My baby is now three and I’ve finally gotten back to my prebaby weight but nothing looks or fits the same. Just be patient, watch what you eat and go for walks. As your body heals you’ll be able to do more. Good luck!
i have a 23 month old and it take me 1y 1/2 so just give it time …it my take time…when the baby can walk and do stuff you will lose the weight
The world is ending in 2012 (Hello, Mayan Calendar!). So none of this
matters, I hate to inform you. Please check out, “Seven Reasons the World will End in 2012:” http://buburuza.net/?p=3650 Have an enchanting day.
I am 8 weeks pp from a c section and there are some tops pre preggo I can wear but I still wear some maternity jeans for comfort, regular jeans on occasion. although I’ve lost almost all baby weight cept 20 lbs…I never took it easy and was in a lot of pain but it helped me recover faster. I breastfed for 3 weeks…thats what helped me. I suggest just eating small portions, drink plenty of water and depending on the weather where you are, short, easy walks. Everyone is diff, just takes time.
I lost all of mine and some extra. I am breastfeeding. I had a Section as well. Every one is different. If you gained alot of weight it will take more time to take it off. I only gained 18lbs. Other people gain 50+ lbs.
My son is 8 weeks. I am heavier to begin with .
My daughter is 4 and just this past year did I completely get back to my pre baby weight. Just give it time and remember that the only reason that celebrities lose the weight so fast is because they have personal trainers and more importantly – Plastic Surgeons.
Good Luck and do not worry…I am sure that you look great!
understand that it took 9 months to get that size it takes about the same to lose it all
Hey!
I had my little girl 14 weeks ago, i put on 3 stone in pregnancy and now have 9lb to loose but im not bothered about that as i look better with the extra bit (under weight before). I walk my dogs everyday not sure if that helps? other than that i aint really done a lot, it just fell off i guess.
Don’t put too much pressure on yourself, everyone has different metabolism’s.
Remember it took 9 months to put it on so give it at least 9 months to loose it!! Good luck x x x
It’s perfectly normal to have not lost the weight yet, my daughter is 8 months and I still have a good 40 lbs to go… everyone is different. My cousin was smaller than she was before she got preg only six weeks after her daughter was born. Some people never lose it. Breastfeeding didn’t help me lose weight any faster since you’re supposed to intake additional calories for your baby to get the proper nutrients. Only until after I stopped breastfeeding did I start to lose more weight. I lost about 20ish on weight watchers and then another 20 on Isagenix… yes, I gained just over 80 lbs when I was preg. Yikes! I can fit into some of my old tops, but now with this little baby pouch, they do not look the same… although my boobs have never looked better! lol ….as for pants… forget it! I’m still a far cry away from wearing them again… well the ones that don’t stretch. Eat a healthy diet, drink lots and lots of water and try to move everyday for at least 30 minutes… walking is probably your best bet for now… once you’re feeling better you will be able to do more…. and trust me, when your baby starts getting more active, you’ll be lucky if you have time to sit at all!
If you are motivated, which obviously you are, it will come off, it just might take some time. When you think about it, our bodies have gone through the ringer…. but it’s worth it in the end! =) Good luck!
i gain 70 pounds and 3 months after having my son via c section i was still in maternity clothes,, but i didnt know i was pregnant again,, so heres hoping for second time around,,
its taken me a year to get back down to my original weight and i didnt work out..i mean i took my kids for walks everyday but that was the only exsercise i got…and i gained 40 lbs…so with that in mind and seeing as how you obviosly have more drive about the subject than i did id say you’ll be smoking hot by swimsuit season. At 4 months i dont know how your even thinking of filling your free time with anything other than sleep. Go you!
It took you 9 months to put the weight on, and it will take at least that to get the weight off. Don’t feel bad! My son is 18 months old and I still have about 15 lbs to get back to where I was prepregnancy.
My baby is 21 months old and I still can’t fit into my pre-pregnancy pants. I’ve accepted, though, that my “new” body is different than my pre-pregnancy body. I am still about 15-20 pounds over my pre-pregnancy weight, but that isn’t what’s making the biggest difference. My hips are now wider, and there is nothing I can do about it.
I’m working on losing my extra weight, but my goal isn’t to regain my pre-pregnancy body. It is to gain the best body I can with the pregnancy changes.
Depending on how much weight you gained, yes, it is normal. If you gained extra weight that wasn’t needed for your pregnancy, it will take you a while to lose it.
Before I answer, let me say that I am NOT bragging! I had a c-section almost 4 weeks ago and I have been wearing my pre-pregnancy jeans and pants for about 2 weeks now. I have no idea how I did it- I am breastfeeding, so I guess that helps. I almost fainted from shock the first time I tried my pants on and they fit. I lost the weight so much quicker with this pregnancy (it’s my 2nd). A week after I left the hospital, I had lost 25 pounds. Like I said, I’m not bragging, but I’m sure not complaining, either…lol.
Don’t worry- you will lose the weight. Everyone is different. Congratulations on the little one!!
