Planned Parenthood facilities nationwide are in jeopardy. I’ll tell you why. TRANSCRIPT Last week, despite Governor Bev Perdue’s awesome move to veto the state budget, North Carolina went the way of Indiana and Kansas and rounded out the trio of states to defund Planned Parenthood. But hold your horses cowboys and girls, this trio is about to become a quartet, and not the kind with strings. Thanks to Republican Governor Scott Walker, Wisconsin is perched to sign a bill that would slash a million dollars from PP yearly funding, which could lead to the closing of nine clinics throughout the state. This is not surprising, considering the fact that Walker was endorsed by a group called Pro-Life Wisconsin….who thinks birth control is a form of abortion and that teenagers shouldn’t know anything about SEX. Or they at least shouldn’t be taught formally…..you know, with accurate information. Better to let them learn from one another, swapping bits of half-truths and myths about ‘doing it’. They’ll figure it out. So Wisconsin has jumped on the bandwagon: This is NOT a good thing. This is a bad, BAD thing. What does this mean? It means that thousands and thousands of low-income and uninsured women, men, and children will lose (or have to wait a ridiculously long time for) access to the health care services that PP provides. Planned Parenthood provides me my birth control for free. So they help me, a lot. For the most part helping me avoid an un wanted pregnancy that I otherwise would abort. Yes. I’m sorry, but I would. A fetus before the third trimester isn’t developed enough to “not want to be ‘killed’ ” (Notice my quotations around “killed”) and before you say “you shouldn’t have had sex”a lot of people DO take precautions, but accidents happen. Unless you’re a nun you can’t expect people to never have sex.

I believe a man should have a right early enough to sign away his parental rights and opt out of fininacial responsibilty, the time frame though has to be early enough that if without his assistance she can opt to abort. @Name2BDecidededLater Agree to that, still I have to say I know a few situations that the men did get the custody and several situations where they didn’t want even the option of spending time with their kids after divorce. It’s really sad.
@theserbok When a woman pays child support there is no guarantee the man spent it on the child. Maybe men should get to know there women before having kids with them. As for the Selective Service System all for it especially if you let women choose to be on the front lines. My Army buddy wanted to do that but the closest they let her is disarming land mines.
