My baby is already 6 months… I can’t believe how fast it is going!!

  2. ReillyAJ says:

    glad youre doin well!

  3. dashanarog says:

Totally understand the analogy by the way, wouldn’t sweat it if you get any negative comments. I wish my healing happens as fast as yours – you look great by the way, not dead like I anticipate myself to feel with a newborn and a toddler here in a few days/weeks (I’m 37w3d today)

  4. mrsjuliebrown says:

Kind of off topic, but i was wondering how your pets are adjusting to Drake being around, my hubby and i have 2 cats that are very cuddly and i’m worried about them sitting on the baby when he or she is born in may

  5. juliet1178 says:

Glad to hear you are all doing well! I am in agreement, those newborn days go by WAY too fast:(

  6. kyleandjessP says:

I totally get it… our nephews are the same. We all definitely pay more attention to the 2 yr old because he interacts with you… but we still all give love and snuggles with the 4month old! It’s just different :) Great update!

  7. Arobinsc says:

Yep, my hubby’s the same way!

  8. jadejussy says:

That is so true. I even agree with your hubby. But as a mummy we get to have heaps of cuddles and enjoy this tiny bundle but I still find the toddlers to be so much fun. Riley just turned 2 and as much as his tantrums suck it is like having your best friend around with you wherever you go. My hubby feels the same way. But in saying that I am so excited to have a tiny little bundle again in Feb. I am so happy that everything is going so well for you.

  9. TheCaiira says:

Glad you are all doing fine.

  10. Taryn72 says:

When are you going to do a video with Drake ???

  11. ruthfv123 says:

haha..it seems like all dads think alike.. my hubby also said the same when our baby arrived. Now he is having fun with both girls who are 16 month and 3 yr old.

  12. SDRilea2 says:

and you’re husband’s comment is such a guy comment haha! I think that’s how most guys feel, whether they admit it or not! but at least he can wear deacon out while you get snuggle time with drake!

  13. SDRilea2 says:

i like the tag from deacon haha :) glad you are doing well though!

  14. justme8725 says:

So pleased you’re feeling so great.
Loved listening to Drakes little noises and sneezes in the background

  15. Jroase says:

DO WE GET TO SEE DRAKE EVER??????? we met him once in the first video but would love to see his smiley face! ;)

  16. BoutiqueMomma says:

    Hahaha at Deacon’s tags ;)

And my hubs is the same way during the newborn phase. I see it as a special time just for bonding with Mommy while Daddy entertains the older sibling/siblings :)

  17. crazymommylife says:

can’t wait to hear the rest of your homebirth story :)

  18. elisam34 says:

My husband feels the same, he loves when they get old enough to play. I think the mamas can’t help but adore the tiny, new babies and the dads love to teach their kids when they get older. Probably goes back to our primitive hunter/gatherer days.

  19. mommymarie001 says:

The newborn phase is sooooo hard! I can’t wait until they start to smile. Then you feel like you are getting something in return for all your hard work and sleepless nights!

  20. benjen98 says:

I dont know any dads that dont feel the way your husband does. Whereas mommies love to just have them be still and stare at them…

  21. Hopefultime says:

Lol, I think Men enjoy the babies when they become more “interactive”. I know my dad (DS’s grandpa) was almost afraid of him when he was new born but now he’s a few months old and giggling he’s all about holding him! ;)

  22. rmmartin92405 says:

Love his analogy it’s perfect! At 2 weeks and 2 days I was headed to your house! Can you believe it??!!

  23. candi0826 says:

I think its a guy thing to want the children to be older to play with etc. Where women tend to want to keep there children little as possible. I just had my daughter and I love them little before they can get into things. Where my hubby loves how he can play with our four year old and she reacts and talks etc.

  24. footballmontana says:

Can we see how big Drake is getting?

  25. Krystaleya says:

My husband loved being around my son as a newborn. I guess bc he’s in the army it makes him cherish every day he gets with him, but now that my son is 4 months old, he’s getting so excited about playing with him and all the milestones that keep happening. Anyways, I’m glad ur bleeding is almost over bc guess what? 4 months + of bleeding and I’m still spotting. It stopped for a few days in the 3rd month, but it hasn’t since and I’m takin birth control too. I wish it would stop tho!
